Still, the lack of anything resembling a true story and the repetitiveness of the characters being transformed into metallic creatures ultimately sank it, for us.
I 3X the speed for last 1 hour and it still seemed to drag. It IS worth renting and seeing for the innovation: you've never seen anything like it, before or since.
Be prepared, however, for some very gross scenes!
