Based on the true story of Carlton Leach and his Essex exploits from foot brawling hooligan to bouncer to gangster. We see his rise based on muscling-up, meeting the wrong blokes, and embracing the criminal life and all its crazy people.
The movie is right at 2 hours and moves quickly. Like most all Brit Crime it is compelling and realistic. Perhaps a bit too realistic as I had to turn the subtitles on. I do wish Brits would learn to speak English and forget the word cunt. (I can imagine QEII around the palace chatting with Phillip. "You're such a cunt, dear.")
This film was a real travelogue for Essex. I can't wait to relocate.
