Haven't a clue why, but a few minutes ago I was trying to think of the name of the US soldier who starred in the film of his own story and who also went on to star in many more films.
Searched for Audley, Audtrey then almost by chance found the guy, and after reading his bio was amazed at how his life seemed to be the perfect battle against the odds, never give up, 'yes we can' story that Hollywood couldn't have written without being ridiculed for being unrealistic and over the top.
Seems like it could inspire a new generation if redone well.
Today is a gift - that's why it's called the Present.
Best Regards,
Chris Redmond.
