I always wanted low voltage thrills on Halloween...

...when I participated in it as a kid. I like old fashion ghost stories, and atmospheric, moody films, so the older titles are the ones I favor. The Abbott & Costello was terrific fun. My other faves include:
Dead of Night (1945) used to give me chills.
The Mummy (1933). The Karloff close ups are breathtaking.
The Bride of Frankenstein (1935).
The Black Cat (1934) and The Raven (1935) are Legosi-Karloff brawls to the death. The later Invisible Ray is a good one, but inferior to the first 2 titles.
