I've got a small daughter so.... yeah, we watched it together.
Leigh plays a very innocent ingenue very convincingly. In "real life," she had a very poor upbringing and ran away with a young man when she was 14. Her mother caught up with her but not before they had married. The marriage was annulled and Leigh then married again, still in her teens. Later, of course, she divorced this guy and married Tony Curtis. A day after divorcing him, she remarried.....
Oh, the movie....
Not terrible but the sort of thing the Brits did far, far better.
