fertile bed of new film and the style of this one is astonishing. The cinematography is like nothing you've seen before: I don't know how the color saturation was achieved but it's unprecedented--- like Loretta Lux portraiture in its clarity, color, and beauty (if you don't know her work, "google" it and be astounded).
The film itself is a nice way to spend an hour or two: the central actors are both beautiful and, since I've never been to the East, it's fascinating to see Thai rural and metro life.
But, like "Run, Lola, Run!," this film's breakthrough visuals are reason enough to view it.
