This movie far exceeds its budget with excellent writing, directing, and spot on acting. Andy Garcia, Ray Liotta, Armand Assante, Bruce Davison, and a cast of recognizable faces bring to life a story of Mexican drug cartels, Afghan smugglers, a cartel succession struggle, and the personal drama of an attractive Mexican woman locked into prostitution.
Liotta, a pro hitman, is hired to take out Esai Morales who is the hard charging successor to Garcia by his son. Meanwhile, the local CIA black ops guys are pretty excited about Afghans getting access to "the line".
Yep, it's ensemble to say the least.
This is a real man's beer and nuts show. Good excuse to rock back, fire up the dvd, figure out the plots, and watch the bullets fly.
