Movies from comedy to drama to your favorite Hollyweird Star.

That IS a Bogart extravaganza!

Last Wednesday was The Oklahoma Kid, The Roaring Twenties, They Drive by Night and High Sierra with it being Bogie Month on TCM.
Caught the middle two, TDBN for the third time (George Raft, Ida Lupino and Alan Hale were GREAT in that, Bogie alright).
Mostly B- grade Bogart though, except HS which he is marvelous in.

Next Wednesday's line-up is most definitely A grade Bogart. Where else can you see four such truly classic films in a row, uncut, for free, but on TCM?
AND have Robert Osborne looking sharp, being intelligent and genuinely enthusiastic about films he's discussed (and introduced) scores of times?

Not the most versatile actor, but 40 years down the line of enjoying Bogart as an actor I still very much appreciate his talent, and am noticing there's much more
nuance and technique going on with him than his "star" quality has always seemed to frequently overshadow.

Greenstreet shines in his brief Casablanca role, and Claude Rains remains my main man in that film, great as everyone in it is.

Thanks for the head's up!
