...both were released on DVD Tuesday so we watched them both this weekend.
Public Enemies is the story of John Dillinger played by Johnny Depp. His acting, the sets and cinematography are first rate. The movie, not so much.
The plot seems disjointed and it bogs down toward the end. Maybe they were trying to be too true to his life rather than make it a compelling film story.
I'd give it a C.
World's Greatest Dad, on the other hand, was a pleasant surprise. An actually funny Robin Williams film. It's an edgy black comedy about him as a writer and school teacher with a difficult, angry, perverted teen son.
I'd give it a B.
