...as I haven't seen it yet, so just checking the trailers Hoffman looks superb in this. I usually like E. Hawks' work as well.

Sounds like a pretty straightforward "see the catastrope, then tell the story leading up to it" type of movie form -- like "The Usual Suspects" iirc.

Sidney Lumet - yeah!
