I believe it was Dan Ackroyd's SNL portrayal that you may be referring to. I remember that Belushi did an amusing Elizabeth Taylor impression in a Bill Murray celebrity interview sketch. Streep even mentioned Ackroyd's classic sketch in a Charlie Rose interview (with Nora Ephron, too) shown recently on PBS.
