One, Two, Three...great vintage stuff

I watched Billy Wilder's "One, Two, Three" (1961) with James Cagney while I was wrapping Xmas gifts tonight. I've never seen it before because I expected it was a lame 60s romantic comedy a la Doris Day. Damn, what a great, funny movie. It delivers one strong one-liner after another for two hours; bam, bam, bam! And Wilder wasn't afraid to assume his audience was smart. Makes today's "comedy" writers focused on adolescent coarseness and urinals look very lazy and none-too-bright. Audiences too. Also a time capsule from the time when everything American was seemingly golden. I strongly recommend it.
