His electric revolution had zero to do with politics and everything to do with music, i.e. electricity and rock. As far as his politics, he never said his songs were NOT anti-war or anything else. He made it clear his songs speak for themselves. He did make one statement that, in "A Hard Rain's a Gonna Fall," the "Rain" is not specifically atomic rain. That was it, he hated elaborating and refused many questions to do so.
You seem to forget that Bob was active in civil rights protests down South, that he sang on the Washington Mall during the famous March. "Talkin' John Birch Paranoid Blues" isn't the song of a right-winger, no matter how hard you try to spin it.
