This is a real Saturday afternoon pleaser. Bombastic, larger-than-life CIA Black Ops guy (Travolta) and sedate, wannabe Embassy Aide (Meyers) go on a destructive mission/killing spree across Paris to save the day. Meyers, pulled into the mission with no notice, drives the legendary black-ops'er in what looks to be a cocaine trafficking case that leads to Muslim terrorist funding to attempts on Meyers life then the arriving American delegation.Fast paced with somewhat tricky plot this film delivers excellent FX, great physical stunts, and an homage to an earlier Travolta role. Nevermind the tasteless American characterization of Travolta as it's all in good fun.
This is mindless enteratainment which is Besson's strong suit. Enjoy.
