Haven't been on here in quite a while, and 'Ink' seems to be a difficult film to search, but I got on here wondering what some of the true film buffs thought of this one. I live in the Denver area and have seen a couple films at the Starz Film Center which is magnificent. I saw 'Let the Right One In' a year and a half ago after driving sixty miles through a snowstorm with a friend and 'Ink' last February with some friends, so my experience at this Denver College venue has thus far been excellent. 'Ink' is a very local film but most Blockbuster stores carry a copy (I think my local store had their copy stolen, I have only seen the 'card' on the shelf for two months now).
This is sci-fi/fantasy at it's very best, a dreamworld that is very real with opposing forces battling for our souls after we fall asleep. On a very small budget the film makes very few missteps in delivering it's message and the few special effects it does deliver are done very smartly. The movie has plenty of heart and is easily one of my top 30 films of the 2000's.
I was lucky enough to see this on a night when the director, Jamin Winans and a few of the actors were in the room for a question and answer after the film. Really cool.
