...movie that I enjoyed so much last week, I'm seeing it again this afternoon. Annette Bening, Naomi Watts, and Samuel L Jackson are all excellent in a story about mothers, wanna-be-mothers, and children that could have been a typical-Hollywood-tear-jerking mess. It isn't.

I love these little films about 'real' people. Faves include the current 'The Secret in Their Eyes' and the older 'Off The Map', 'Around The Bend', 'Second-Hand Lions', 'Goundhog Day', and 'Notting Hill', among others.
