...and appreciate his viewpoint.I really liked the original British "Death at a Funeral" and cringed everytime I saw the trailer for the remake. Most of the critics I read panned it.
I hate to say this because it sounds so politically incorrect, but I wonder if the fact that Ebert's wife is Black has anything to do with his rating of this film.
There was another film he liked with Black actors I thought was terrible and a friend brought this up.
And I agree with you about the "Hangover" - it had lots of funny ideas but they were only amusing in the way they were carried out. Some of the throw-away lines were the funniest.
