...whose drug-dealing dad just lost the home where 4 of his family members live. The 17-year old daughter Ree has been keeping the family going, but if dad doesn't show for his court hearing, they'll lose their 'happy' home. I thought all the actors were excellent; I felt that there actually weren't actors in it, just the people who experienced the story. Especially good are the 2 leads, Jennifer Lawrence as Ree Dolly and John Hawkes as dad's brother Teardrop. It's ultimately heartwarming and redeeming, but there's no dum-shit-Hollywood happy ending here.
