amazing film that can best be described as a chilling adult fable. A man wandering through a forest comes across a cabin in which a horrendous crime has just been committed. From there, we are taken on a journey of maddening complexity but that, unlike many lesser films, repays the effort at understanding. For those who approach films more passively, rest assured that the images, action, and acting are spell-binding enough for your enjoyment.
If you enjoyed, "Pan's Labyrinth," you definitely will enjoy this brilliant gem. It IS very difficult to describe, because of the plot's complexity, and that very well may be a reason for its limited success. That is undeserved: it should be was well-known as are many other top Korean efforts.
