Problem with Bergman is - every one of his films is so deep that you can keep revisiting them every few years, finding more and more in them, which, given the volume of his work, would leave no room for anything else! :)
Another "problem" - his constant use of his favorite actors, who move from film to film... they darn nearly become family members! We grow older with them, just like you do with your uncle... that creates the strange sense of closeness.
