impossible, for people to face the fact sometimes that they'd be powerless, but.... against the Nazis, one was. They weren't defeated by insurgents, after all. And if you want to be an accountant of death, they ALWAYS made sure the ledger favored them.
Israel, ironically, learned this lesson.
