I found this over looked little gem at a record/DVD swap last week and we finally set down to watch it last night.
What a hoot! It is shot in a mild Cinéma vérité style (kind of a Blair Witch style but better IMO) on location in beautiful Norway, where we climb into a VW with a film group from the local College who are trying to get to the bottom of a rash of bear attacks in the area.
The action revolves around the 7 main actors and all special effects (not many) are only used to move the film forward. After the first minute I was hooked and it only got better from there.
It helps if you have some knowledge of folk tales (Norwegian, or any for that matter) and my copy had non-intrusive English subs.
Highly recommended.
