...and I watched it last night for the umpteenth time. It's an upbeat, innocent film that simplistically deals with corruption, murder etc... with wry sense of humor. Very well choreographed crowd scenes (The brawls are impressive), and yet there are little touches that succeed too. If you can get past its primitive Americana crap-like its not so subtle racism, it's 1939 for God's sake!-then you're in for a great pairing of Stewart and Dietrich. She's a pistol! This is a desert island choice for me.
