It's one of the few DVDs I own. It would look beautiful if properly restored!
I consider it a flawed but fascinating film. All the actors are great, except Brando, who did a terrible job self directing. As much as I love the film, I alternate between that and laughing at Brando at times.
Kubrick was originally going to direct it, and one can only wonder how it would have turned out. Could have been the greatest western of all time, perhaps.
