Anyone see this? It lasted about one week at the Sunshine Theater in NYC. I caught it in Florida last week on vacation.
I'm glad I did because it's an interesting gangster film in the style of Scorsese's "Mean Streets" and "GoodFellas" Also, "Donnie Brasco" and, of course, "The Sopranos".
It's based on a true story about mob violence in Cleveland in the 70's. It seems the Italian mob wants to rub out this Irish mobster but has great difficulty doing so. Lots of ethnic slurs on Italians, Jews, Irish, Poles, Blacks and others.
Basically, a "B" film with less than great acting and some bad dialog but adequate. Familiar faces in Christoper Walken, Paul Sorvino, Val Kilmer, Vincent D'Onofrio, Steven Schrippa, Tony LoBianco and others.
I recommend this sleeper. Catch it before it goes to dvd. It's a pisser! Car bombs are the weapon of choice here!
