In 2009 director Janus Metz and camera man Lars Skree spent 6 months embedded with Danish soldiers at camp Armadillo in Helmand province Afghanistan and produced this masterpiece.
No editorializing, just the facts and truth of young men far from home in the centre of an untenable and insane situation and the story of the local Afghans who are caught between the savagery of the Taliban and the foreign armies sent to fight them.
IMO this is far superior to 'Restrepo' and is a chilling look at the decent into madness that wars of occupation so often inspire.
