Now if you want to see a film with all the possible intentions to please and to be politically correct and feel like a royalist underdog go for it.
This film is definitively a whore.
Passing by and picking up some missing like that Churchill made all his possible to try to not let the king abdicate because of Wallis.
Good it was not so important, but...
The best actor was for me, no doubt, Geoffrey Rush! Bien sure was Collin Firth good and he is one of the few I always like to see.
As for Helena Bonham Carter, she is playing herself again and again in her attitude and this time she missed it.
Micheal Gambon excellent as usual..
Now it was also a pleasant film, and costumes and all the settings where a joy to look at. If only this film would had not be made to please the mass of " concierges " out there it would had be in another league. But since Diana´s death the Royalties to cope with their own survival must play the low class without being classy..Helas.
Going down YES but with brio...A miss opportunity...
