Who'd a thought Val Kilmer, Cuba Gooding, and various WWF-Ultimate Fighters could make a whole new second career out of sleep-walking through these grind house features made for movie channels, Red Box, et al.
I wonder who is financing these things and how much Val or Cuba or Wesley gross from these masterpieces? I know the HBO found it cheaper to make a film than buy every film that comes along but I wonder what the sales pitch is when selling these scripts: tax shelter or actual profit?
Red Box is full of these things and occasionally you find a well-done entertaining one. Most often your taking yer chances and avoid scary horror and Billy Zane.
