Well, it took Netflix long enough to get this one but it was worth the wait.
"36" is an action-drama filled with twists and turns, up and downs, good guys gone bad and vice versa. This all star French cast fights, shoots, chases, catches, and kills all while telling the tale of two equally ranked police captains (Auteuil and Depardieu) competing for the Chief's job who is slated to be promoted out of the precinct. Their competition is set against the capture of a highly professional squad of killers who are knocking off armored cars in Paris. The chief (Dussollier) lets on that whoever captures the gang will get his job, although Auteuil is his favorite.
There are a lot of interesting characters in this large cast and the story telling is superb. But, there is French revenge on the viewer--the fastest moving subtitles on record. (No sooner were my lips moving then another line would appear on the screen. Chapstick recommended.)
