A great movie who anyone who ever visited Japan and fell in love with that country. You will find the confirmation of your love at many levels. Those who never visited might get the justifiable desire to do so - and for any European such a trip is a must.
With all the imperfections, the movie is highly enjoyable... at least it was for me. Obviously its obscenely low imdb rating indicates that this is an exception rather than the rule, but such things never bother me.
The cinematography is simply stunning, showing the beauty of Japan in its totally striking, wild and perfectly ordered way... almost a tourist brochure, but as we know - true to reality.
I recommend it highly.
