People often switch to singing in Love Songs, French film on love, relationship, death and life after your loved ones have departed. That, and endless beautiful Paris scenery creates soft and pleasant environment, unable to hide the pain and despair.
The film was a tug-along, suggested by the Netflix on the coattails of Swimming Pool, it stars the delectable Ludivine Sagnier and pre-Raphaelite Louis Garrel, whom I normally can't stand, but he is not exactly irritating here. As an added bonus Chiara Mastroianni gives very human and touching performance.
Am I going soft? Well, after some total crap like Valhalla, and even worse - Severed Ways... this was a welcome change.
