Watching that clip my impression is this movie sufferers perhaps unconsciously from the "Hollywood' treatment.. Overstatement. While the Trailer is scored for effect Its the leading presentations from the actors that irks me.
Over emphasizing important words like; "Mole" as if I need to have the implications spelled out for me. This kind of approach deprives one of the pleasure of their own discovery process. Its almost as if they presume without over emphasizing the key points you'd miss them. Of course with the Original production so fresh in my mind such contrasts are very apparent.
I would like to see this one and it may get me into a Theater.
If you haven't seen the original made for TV with Guinness I found it some of the most gratifying film watching imaginable.
