I remember seeing this on PBS way back (about 35 years, in fact). An excellent series. Very well done. I still remember the part 'The Kill', where a man throws a javelin, which morphs into a spear plunging into an antelope, all to the music of Pink Floyds 'Careful with that Axe, Eugene'. Its available on DVD from Amazon, but I can't afford the 90 sumodd dollars for the series.
