I never heard if there was any public or private praise or condemnation for the Sean Penn version. Is Long still somewhat of a saint in Louisiana?
I understand Edwin Edwards is now in a halfway house and, according to wikipedia, was even considering a gubernatorial run. I admire Luzzianans, they love a good sideshow.
