Interesting to see it after years reading about it's classic status.
My favorite thing is the cinematography and the beautiful locations. Many of the camera shots are taken from a distance which depersonalized the story a bit which I found oddly disturbing, a testament to the execution of the story and acting by all involved I suppose.
Also, the final uninterrupted six and a half minute shot at the end of the film was a pleasure to see and holds your attention with the tale it tells so effortlessly.
there is also a full commentary by Nicholson (who obviously has a bit of passion on this project) and is worth a listen.
My mind wandered a bit in the second half, which is more my restless personality than the movie imo, the film itself seemed darn near perfect and, of course, recommended.
