I thought she was a bright spot in an otherwise ordinary film. She has great authenticity in every scene and seemed to absorb her character. I think its great that she showed what a spectacular form she still has at her age. Clearly the role allowed her to show a range and a side she had not shown in other films. Much like In The Bedroom, showed her in a different light than before, or My Cousin Vinny for yet another extreme.
Every film I have seen where she has a minor or major role, she stands out from almost all the other actors, even the leads. While I may have a mini Marissa crush I am not alone in thinking of her as one of the better, under appreciated actresses of her generation.
