first was in Michigan in 1983 then a few of regionals. Two in Arizona at Cochise Stronghold and one on Big Sur. As a 20 yo there seemed to be something to it but I couldn't sustain or find a sustainable role in that world so came back to "civilization" with home ownership, job, car and mountains of credit debt.. A few wild years sleeping under the stars roaming the West remembered warmly.. I suppose aside from learning to get by with less (nothing) at an early age by choice mind you was of value as I find I lust after very little and and content with what is sufficient.
Hopefully living out in the fresh air for virtually 10 years of my life without a Car,Home,Job or credit cards strengthened me inwardly and it might serve my later years.
