There is always something special about films shot in confined spaces - the idea is to remove all the distractions so what is left is just pure psychology of relationship. You can't put too many people in such a place, with two perhaps being the most common, and three pushing the limit.

In recent memory two such films spring to mind. One is the wonderful Chilean En la Cama (In Bed) - steamy and thought-provoking.

The other one is Tape, with Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman. This one suffers from Ethan's VERY American acting, and the main idea behind the plot seems to take itself too seriously, which kills the surprise and the overall effect. Still, as an escape from the usual Hollywood fare this might be cautiously recommended.

Any other candidates?
