on the Japs or the English (nasty Brits and their opium). They don't need to be reminded of what happened at Nanking - every school child learns about it at every stage of their schooling. These movies are the Chinese equivalent of torture porn, and you are right, they love it.
If a reminder about genocide is on the cards, then maybe Chinese film makers will make a movie about the millions who died at the hands of Mao during famines or the civil war. Wanna put money on that?
Next thing you'll be saying we need a movie about Pearl Harbor to remind everyone what happened. Oh, hang on a minute, that was already tried :-)
