Mentioning Nazi connections does not invalidate the documentary. You're commenting on a film you haven't seen.
I certainly would not call Bigger, Faster Stronger even handed or a good (let alone a terrific) documentary. It essentially promotes steroids to young people. The filmmaker was a steroid user and he found them to be quite just dandy. He is lucky he didn't have any physical or psychological problems from the drugs.
I didn't feel they made any meaningful comment about American culture. The movie is ALL about steroids and it does a bad job of it.
