Stone has a reporter's eye and the good sense of a skilled movie maker (and writer) for when fictionalizing is called for.
Not quite as daring or artistic as Francis Ford Coppola, but miles ahead of the pack for his generation - imo.
Say like Coppola, but with 1/3 the calories?
