This crime drama has been playing cable a lot lately and stars Keanu Reeves and Forrest Whitaker. I have a tough time believing KR in roles. I think it's because of his voice and deadpan delivery of his lines. FW is a bit of a stretch for me, too, usually, but not in his award winning role. Anyway, what makes the movie worth watching, any of this guy's movies, is writer James Elroy. That dude can write some crime, yo (Black Dahlia, LA Confidential), and this is no exception. His last book, White Jazz, looks like it's not gonna get made so I've read. I hope that changes. Street Kings is a complex and grim, but entertaining, flick, IMO
