Hunger Games basis is Greek mythology and it is very well conceived in both book and film.
Lord of the Flies is a terrific book and has been treated well in film as well, but it's a totally different concept and a world away from the dystopian themes of Hunger Games.
If asked to compare the two stories I'd have say the most striking difference is that in Hunger Games children are the poor district pawns in a cautionary tale of class warfare between haves and have-nots, while Lord of the Flies is a study in societal breakdown on it's most fundamental level, where children are separated from established of social order and gravitate toward survival of the fittest.
