As expected, this just didn't deliver the goods. The funny lines that got laughs from the trailer were flaccid when delivered in the full breadth of the film. Everybody in the cast was good, they really tried but it just didn't gel. Green looked terrific, Pfeiffer, too. Depp did well but, alas, there just wasn't enough to keep the ball in the air. If Depp keeps trying to play understand comedy he will become Jack Sparrow.
If anything, Bella Heathcote's beauty kept me interested but she just wasn't on camera enough....same for Chloe Moretz who was also a family monster. Poor Johnny Lee Miller ended up being teats on a boar hog.
This is a pretty movie, an expensive one, but the script was too weak for production. Sad.
