Annamaria Marinca plays a woman lost in war-torn Eastern Europe who is desperately trying to get home. The countries are unnamed, ethnicity blurred, good vs. evil unassigned, and all characters without names draw the viewer into Marinca's moment by moment world of survival and grief. There is not much of a supporting cast but the war weary land they travel with a string of very unpleasant episodes leading her to her final destination.
This is not a happy film but a window into a part of the world very few of us know. Definitely a solid 3.5 outta 5.
