I just caught this film on netflix.ca and really enjoyed it. "Bottle Shock" (2008) is a low key drama about a struggling NAPA vineyard in 1976 and the creation of the Paris wine tasting which put Napa wines on the map. It is based on the true story of the Chateau Montelena vineyard. The film is slow paced and not overly dramatic, but humorous and meaningful. It's a nice human story and the antithesis of a big Hollywood production. The film stars Alan Rickman, Bill Pullman, Chris Pine. Rachel Taylor and Freddy Rodriguez.
