David Rousseau needs inspiration for his next private detective novel. Well, that's what his agent keeps telling him. He finds it in "France's coldest town" near the Swiss border in the form of one Martine Langevin who was found dead in "no mans land" and classified as a suicide. Rousseau's nose tells him this was no suicide so he lays over in a small, frozen hotel to do his own not-so-stealthy investigation. What he finds are some amazing and uncomfortable parallels to MM and all her buddies.
This is a well-done, off-beat "thriller" that smacks of the Cohen brothers and travels to a different bea. Worth a look.
