A young documentary film maker and his girl friend set off on a mission to enter a cult to expose them. Once they get in they are given the "cultwashing" the new members go through. The girlfriend gets cold feet and the boyfriend seemingly falls into the trap.
This is a well acted but slow motion film that takes its time getting to any kind of meaningful part. We go almost to the end before the big "whoa" moment.
Britt Marling plays the mysterious woman for whom the cult centers around. She nearly recreates the same character as in 'Another Earth' with a soft but deep nature as she convinces nearly everyone of who she says she really is. (Marling is such an odd beauty whose intruding feature is her unique dental characteristics.)
This film is for a nice, late, and lonely night. The old lady may get sucked into it or not.
