How obvious does a film have to be to air its hatred of religion and authority by casting outlaws as heroes, a gutted bible implanted with a little pick axe as the key symbol, evil warden, brilliant Tom Robbins as the second coming, rising up in a crucifix-like pose, forgiving the kind hearted murderer Morgan Freeman who narrated the tale and now narrates equally manipulative ads for Visa.
