The unlikely duo curiously works well in this tale of violence, deceit, and passion---- very 70s style.
A young woman is found dead on a beach, her body filled with drugs and semen. Because of her wild past, Reynolds, the jaded cop, is loathe to invest more time in investigating what the coroner rules a suicide. Then, the father and mother of the girl begin to ask questions and he's dragged into it.
Not great, mind you, but a very professionally done copper film w/lots of good cameos, including short but good ones from Borgnine and Jack Carter (yeah, that guy, the outrageous stand up comedian).
Deneuve was at the peak of her beauty, playing a call girl with that patented Catherine blend of ice and fire.
